Rat Girl Studios was born a couple years back in the early days of art school. As Sophmore at Kendall College of Art and Design I was taking a 'Life Drawing for Illustrators' course. At the time I was also taking a regular life drawing course and became a bit bored just drawing naked people . This lead to me sometimes tweaking my drawings a bit. One of these 'tweaks' was adding a rat to the drawings, whether it be sitting on someone's shoulder or on the floor. My professor loved my little additions and showed disappointment when a rat did not appear. Thus rats became a regular fixture and Rat Girl Studios was born. Despite the inclusion of rats in my work has dropped off over the years the name continues to live on. This blog will mostly be featuring finished pieces.
